Welcome to Interakt

Interakt adds search and AI chat to your website or app. You manage everything from a single admin dashboard — point Interakt at your data, decide how it should behave, and the people who use your app get a clean search box or chat window backed by it.

What you can do with it​

  • Search experience. A search page that returns ranked, filtered results from your catalog, knowledge base, or content library. Can do keyword search, meaning-based search, or both.
  • Chat experience. A chatbot that knows about your data, talks the way you tell it to, and can take actions through tools you give it.

Both are configured in the admin UI. When you're ready to put them in front of users, Interakt gives you an embeddable widget — paste a snippet into your site and you're live.

Who this is for​

You're running a product, a store, or a content site. You have a catalog, a library of articles, a knowledge base, support content, or any other body of structured data. You want your customers, employees, or visitors to be able to find things in it or talk to it.

You don't need to know anything about embeddings, vector databases, or AI pipelines to use Interakt. You will need to know what's in your data and how you want people to interact with it — Interakt handles the rest.

How the admin dashboard is organised​

The sidebar groups screens by what you're doing:

  • Dashboard — landing page with shortcuts and recent activity.
  • Analytics — what people searched for and chatted about, response times, and the trace of every conversation.
  • Experiences — the user-facing search pages and chat windows you build.
  • Capabilities — the raw materials: data sources, search indexes, tools, MCP connections, prompt templates.
  • Playground — sandbox to test queries, AI calls, and drop-in widgets before going live.
  • Analytics — what people searched for and chatted about, response times, and the trace of every conversation.
  • Platform — AI providers, secrets vault, system health, settings, users, initial setup.

The ? icon in the top-right of every screen opens a help drawer with the docs page for whatever you're looking at. There's also an Ask tab in that drawer — Interakt's own AI assistant trained on these docs.

If you're brand new:

  1. What is Interakt — the building blocks: data sources, indexes, experiences, tools.
  2. Architecture — how Interakt fits together — the mental model with illustrations: how the pieces relate, when you need each one.
  3. Initial setup — getting through the first-boot wizard.
  4. Your first experience — a 15-minute walkthrough end-to-end.

If you're picking up where someone else left off, the Concepts section explains every screen and every setting; the Guides section gives step-by-step walkthroughs for specific tasks like loading data, embedding the widget, or rebuilding an index.
